Environmental pressures, set back and opportunities

Due to the current drought conditions placing unprecedented pressure on our lake at Pinewood we have taken the hard decision to suspend activities on the lake until we get some rain.

We take our environment very seriously and the current reduced water levels mean that we need to conserve our unique location and generate as little disturbance to the local wild life who rely on the lake.  This includes the fish, amphibians and insects who live in the lake but also the diverse range of land animals who require the lake for their source of water.

Hopefully normal service will resume shortly but as we believe that every set back presents an opportunity for growth we will now be offering archery lessons on our purpose built range.

Archery is an ancient sport that is proven to increase focus, mindfulness and sense of achievement, so features heavily in our approach for personal development.  Our instructors are all Archery GB approved instructors and lessons focus on safe use of the recurve bow, personal technique and having fun.  This is a family friendly activity and exclusive sessions for groups are available.

All equipment is provided and matched to ability and because of the safety aspects of archery, we have to impose a minimum age limit of 6 years of age.

Palace Paddlers are pleased to include archery into our range of adventurous activities. Learn to safely use the recurve bow and develop your confidence and skill with this ancient and fun sporting weapon, individually, with friends or in a family group.  All equipment and instruction provided by our team of Archery UK accredited coaches.
